Veer Savarkar Murals

‘Lokmanya’ Bal Gangadhar Tilak and ‘Swatantrya Veer’ Vinayak Damodar Savarkar - Two great freedom fighters, fearless nationalists, and inspiring noble socialists! As the newer generations become accustomed to enjoying the fruits of a democratic nation we live in today, they tend to forget those who sacrificed their youth and laid their lives for the freedom of this country. An important quote by Veer Savarkar: ‘A nation that forgets its history will never have a prosperous future’. To remind the present young population of the struggle for freedom, the sacrifices made by these valiant personalities, and to learn from their selflessness, the S.V.J.C.T inaugurated the ‘Veer Savarkar and Lokmanya Tilak Murals’ depicting their journey through the fight for the independence of our nation. The murals were designed and planned by the well-known artist Shri Suhas Bahulkar, and the stunning piece of art was carved by artist, Shri Ashok Sonkusre. The inauguration was performed by Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi (Sarkaryavah, Rashtreeya Swayamsevak Sangh) on 12th April 2019.
