Shri Dattatreya Maharaj The Nirguna (attributeless), without a second Brahman, desired to be many, and it created Maya (illusion). The Maya then created the triad of Gods Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh who were personifications of three Gunas [qualities of nature] – Satva (stands for qualities like goodness, purity, and excellence), Rajas (stands for passion, attachment and fickleness), Tamas (stands for darkness whence proceed folly, ignorance, worldly delusion, blindness of lust, pride).
Shri Dattatreya Maharaj is a revered deity in Hinduism, embodying the unity of Brahma (Creator), Vishnu (Preserver), and Shiva (Destroyer), who represent the supreme consciousness and divine wisdom.
It was when Lord Dattatreya manifested Himself in the form of Shri Swami Samarth in its sub-sect called ‘Saraswati’, that the sub-sect came to be more popularly known as Shri Datta Sampradaya.
Akkalkot Niwasi Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj was an Indian Hindu spiritual master of the Dattatreya Tradition and is considered a divine third incarnation of Shri Dattatreya Maharaj.
Shri Ramanand Bidkar Maharaj Shri Bidkar Maharaj was a prominent disciple of Akkalkot Niwasi Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj. In obedience to the order of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj, Shri Beedkar Maharaj set up a Muth (temple-shrine) in Pune and worked towards spreading of Swaroop Sampradaya.
Shri Sadguru Vasudevanant Saraswati Maharaj alias Shri Sadguru Baba Maharaj Sahasrabuddhe Shri Baba Maharaj was an enlightened disciple of Shri Bidkar Maharaj, who dedicated his life to the service of his guru’s preachings and worked towards spreading of Swaroop Sampradaya.
Shri Sadguru Shajanand Saraswati alias Shri Digambardas Maharaj: Shri Sadguru Baba Maharaj Sahasrabuddhe blessed Shri Vitthalrao Ganesh Joshi in 1953, who would later come to be known as Shri Sadguru Digambardas Maharaj. Shri Maharaj became the spiritual leader tasked with spreading the teachings of Swaroop Sampradaya, focusing on Karmyog, selfless service.

Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that even a drop of water that is easily accessible to me, if offered to me by a devotee thinking that he is his all, will build a temple bigger than Vaikuntha for me. After the construction of Shri Baba Maharaj Sahasrabuddhe’s temple shrine by Shri Kaka, many new temples were built or restored. It should be said that all the temples that have been restored are Arghyas (holy offering) at the feet of Sadguru.
In keeping with the tradition of Swaroop Sampradaya (a sect, wherein the aspirant concentrates on viewing the ‘Atman’ - the soul) along with the purpose of bringing society on the ‘Right Path’. (Spending every moment of life in Sadguru Seva (Sadguru Service). Motivated by the single goal of increasing the glory of Sadguru Shri Baba Maharaj’s preaching’s, raising the flag of his fame, and thereby carrying forward the work of public welfare and spiritual teachings.
