We intentionally teach Sanskrit as a part of our syllabus to access ancient knowledge in philosophy and science and to gain a deeper understanding of Indian culture and literature. Teaching Sanskrit is crucial for several reasons, including preserving India's rich cultural and spiritual heritage, understanding the roots of many languages, and fostering cognitive development and linguistic skills.
Acquiring a foreign language is becoming more essential for international communication and career progression, providing cognitive advantages such as enhanced memory and multitasking abilities, as well as cultural enrichment, rendering it a crucial skill for personal and professional development. Hence, we have started conducting certificate courses for the German, Spanish, and French languages. These languages are taught from the pre-primary level.
Rural students often struggle with English communication due to limited exposure and resources, which affects their academic performance and future opportunities. To address this, we have introduced a new school activity focused on developing speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills, and building confidence through lessons on sounds, vocabulary, grammar, and overall communication. Our Students, Paramedical Staff, Nursing Staff, and other professionals can benefit from the program. Additionally, we have started a Book Reading Club to foster a reading habit and promote personal growth, currently targeting students from 4th to 8th standards.
