In Rigveda and Upanishads Cows are called as Holi and divine animals. Further described as a symbol of wealth, prosperity and nourishment. Also representing purity sustenance of life. Cow is honored and worshiped because of embody 36 deities within her body. Milk IS USED IN DAILY PUJA AND ABHISHEK. Gau seva (Serving cows) brigs spiritual blessing, health and prosperity. Seva indicates serving on motherhood. Having this concept Sadguru Digambardas Maharaj has started goshala at Dervan.

Separate permanent sheds are provided to each category of animals. Head-to-Head positioning. Feeding drench have been between them. Defecation and urinating slope have been created downward flow and outlet is provided to each shed and directly connected to huge Gobar gas plant for manure purpose.

Cleanliness and hygiene are properly maintained with proper disinfectants. Ample of clean water is provided; centre water tank is placed between the sheds accordingly.
Feeding pattern balanced feeding protocol standard is followed,
- Dry matter that Rice paddy, grass, kadba properly chaffed by electric operated chaff cutter in two small cuttings
- Green fodder in the form of Hybrid Napier grass, African maize is fed to animals

Disease control- Yearly vaccination protocol season wise of various contagious diseases are followed with assistance of nearby veterinary Dispensary Govt. Maharashtra.
Ectoparasites diluted spraying is done twice a year. Deworming is done to every animal twice a year. Proper record is maintained.
Ailing animals’ treatment - A Travis has been provided between open space for checking the animals as well as treatment. Emergency medicines have kept at disposal in a room. Allopathy, ayurvedic and homeopathy medicines are routinely used.
Breeding facility. Rathi bull born on 12-3-2022 progeny tested bull have been purchased (Dam yield 8 liter per day) from Rahuri Krishi Vidyapeeth for natural services.
Grazing land- All animals go for grazing in grazing land form 10 AM to 4 PM and eat dry grass fodder cultivated in the land and locomotive exercise occurs

Rathi Breeding Bull

This Rathi bull born on 12-3-2022 .Origin Indegenoius Rathi breed is from Bikaner District of Rajesthan ,it is a milch breed from India. Progeny tested bull tested for T.B.& Johns Disease .Mother's milk yied was 8 to 10 liter per day.This bull is used for breeding purpose. Charactics bulging Forehead,compact and composed body,long tail.

Vaccination of animals

All the goshala animals are vaccinated for LUMPY SKIN DISEASE Vaccine recently. Under the protocol of prevention is better cure. Lumpy skin disease affecting cows, bull, bullocks and calves characterized by skin nodules. It is transmitted by insects bites.

There is no specific treatment only vaccination is a most effective control of disease. In addition to vector ectoparasitic insects control and irradiation.

Castration of bulls

Castration of remaining bulls of goshala is undertaken recently by Burdizzo method. A clamp is used to crush the spermatic cord, cutting off blood supply to the testicles then to atrophy.
