Samarth Nursing College commenced with SVJCT’s vision of empowering women, making them self-sufficient and thus enabling them to live a life with respect. It was important to ensure that the young village girls who can’t go to big cities for education due to financial and social limitations should get the opportunity to have specialized education to contribute substantially in the overall development of the society. These nursing courses have not only empowered these girls but has opened a new world of employment opportunities for them. Some have been employed wth Tata Hospital at Mumbai, some have gone abroad with good remuneration packages, while some are wellsettled in their villages offering quality healthcare services. More than 1500 girls have chosen the field of Nursing and become financially independent.
